at the kitchen table
at the kitchen table
When I was in my early twenties and living in Kentucky, I had a hard time finding my first teaching job, so in the interim, I decided to sell Avon. It was great fun, and although I didn’t make enough to support us, I did make enough to keep food on the table until I got a teaching job. After I started teaching, things got busier and busier, and my Avon clientele dwindled, so I stopped. Since then, life for me has been pretty much in the fast lane, and I’ve never had the time to be a representative. Now I’m retired, and I have time, and I need a little mad money, so....
I am now an Avon representative for the 21st century, and it has become more than just selling cosmetics. It is a cause for me. Here are just a few reasons to support this business:
Avon is and always has been primarily run by women.
Avon’s make-up and fragrance lines are all MADE IN THE USA!!!!
The Avon Foundation provides millions of dollars to support efforts to find a cure for breast cancer.
The opportunity to shop from a catalog, either online or in hand, with generous sales discounts on a regularly basis, discourages impulse shopping and is convenient. And if you are local, what you order is delivered to your door by a smiling face, FREE of charge.
If you don’t like what you’ve bought, you can return it. Try taking make-up back to the drug store.
I could go on, and I will, on my Avon website. Please visit my online store at http://www.youravon.com/kwilliams4787.
